As stated in Appendix III to Part-147, the EASA Form 148 ‘Certificate of Recognition for Basic Training/Examination’ may be issued after completion of either basic training, basic examination or both basic training and basic examination. Some examples of cases where an EASA Form 148 could be issued are the following: After successful completion of a full basic course in one licence (sub) category including successful completion of the examinations of all the corresponding modules. After successful completion of a full basic course in one licence (sub) category without performing examinations. The examinations may be performed at a different Part-147 organisation (this organisation will issue the corresponding Certificate of Recognition for those examinations) or at the competent authority. After successful completion of all module examinations corresponding to a licence (sub) category. After successful completion of certain modules/sub-modules/subjects. It must be noted that ‘successful completion of a course’ (without the module examinations) means successful completion of the theoretical and practical training including the corresponding practical assessment.
