AMC to Paragraph 1(c) of Appendix III to Part-66 ‘Aircraft Type Training and Examination Standard. On-the-Job Training’

Differences Training Approved difference training is not required for different variants within the same aircraft type rating (as specified in Appendix I to AMC to Part-66) for the purpose of type rating endorsement on the aircraft maintenance licence. However, this does not necessarily mean that no training is required before a certifying staff authorisation can be issued by the maintenance organisation (refer to AMC 66.A.20(b)3).
