SPA.HEMS.145 HEMS operating base facilities

FACILITIES FOR OBTAINING CURRENT AND FORECAST WEATHER INFORMATION AT OPERATING BASES THAT ARE INTENDED TO BE USED AT NIGHT At a HEMS operating base that is intended to be used for night operations, the operator should have access to one of the following:

(a)meteorological information from a certified service provider at the operating base;

(b)meteorological information from a certified service provider at an aerodrome or location where the operator determines that local meteorological conditions are likely to be similar to that of the operating base on most nights; or

(c)supplemental weather information at the operating base, as described in point (e)(4) of AMC1 CAT.OP.MPA.192, provided that the provisions of (e)(9) of AMC1 CAT.OP.MPA.192 are met. [applicable from 25 May 2026 — ED Decision 2023/007/R]
