Shoulder
EASA defines “Shoulder” in one regulation. The wording below is reproduced verbatim from the EASA Easy Access Rules, with a link to the paragraph it comes from.
‘Shoulder’ means an area adjacent to the edge of a pavement so prepared as to provide a transition between the pavement and the adjacent surface.
