declared distances

EASA defines “declared distances” in one regulation, with a separate wording for each case. The wording below is reproduced verbatim from the EASA Easy Access Rules, with a link to the paragraph it comes from.

‘declared distances’ means:

‘take-off run available (TORA)’,

‘take-off distance available (TODA)’,

‘accelerate-stop distance available (ASDA)’,

‘landing distance available (LDA)’;

(18a) ‘dry’, in respect of runway conditions, means that the surface of the runway is free of visible moisture and not contaminated within the area intended to be used;
